Structure of the feeding mechanism of granulator
The cutting mode of the granulator is divided into gap cutting and contact cutting according to the gap between the cutter and the template, as shown in figure 1, there is a certain gap between the cutter and the template in the gap cutting, the cutter shaft maintains the position set by the handle limiting device, that is, the relative position between the cutter and the template remains unchanged, and the abrasion of the cutter has nothing to do with the rotating speed of the granulator.
There is no gap between the cutter and the template in the contact cutting. When the pressure of the feed cutter rises beyond the resistance of Oil Seal, stuffing seal, and tooth sliding coupling, the cutter is pushed to the template, this bonding force with the template is related to the rotating speed of the granulator.

UP550 underwater granulator belongs to gap cutting, and its structure and stress are shown in the figure 2.
The materials of the template and cutter are both TiC alloy steel. The hardness of the template is 70-75 due to the complex structure, high processing requirements, and difficult maintenance of the template, higher than the hardness of the cutter, connect the instrument air to the two cylinders.
The cylinder 1 drives the cutter shaft 8 and the cutter 6 to advance to the template.

When the shaft sleeve 3 is tightly attached to the fine-tuning positioning worm wheel 4, the cutter shaft stops moving forward.
During normal production, the gap between the cutter and the template is controlled by the cutter shaft stroke adjustment mechanism (4,5), and the gap between 0- 0.01mm is always maintained.
