Accurate measurement is the foundation of a replacement pelletizing knife request. A supplier needs enough information to understand the blade, mounting arrangement and process context, especially when the original drawing is unavailable.

Record the Essential Dimensions
- Overall length, width and thickness
- Blade-edge shape and orientation
- Mounting-hole size, position and pattern
- Hub, holder or mounting-interface dimensions
- Any identifying marks or existing part number
Use a consistent unit system and show the measuring tool in the photo where it clarifies the dimension. When several blades or inserts are used, label each image so the layout can be understood without guesswork.

Add Process Details to the Measurements
Dimensions alone do not describe how a knife performs. Include the polymer being processed, filler or additive information when relevant, the pelletizer model if known and the reason for the replacement request. Also include close photos of the die face if unusual wear or pellet quality is involved.
This lets the technical review consider both fit and operating conditions before a replacement is proposed.

FAQ
What if I do not have the original drawing?
Clear photographs, complete measurements, mounting details and the used sample can still provide a strong basis for review.
Should I measure the die plate too?
Include die-face photos and relevant information whenever knife wear or pellet quality suggests that the parts should be reviewed together.
